Anika Legal's Giving Day a Huge Success!
On the 25th November, Anika Legal hosted a ‘Giving Day’, where every dollar that was donated over a 24 hour period, was matched by generous donor-partners - and they raised over $140k!  Anika Legal is a free online legal service that helps vulnerable Victorians access legal support when they need it most. The money raised from the ‘Giving Day’ will be used to ensure that every Victorian renter has access to the legal support they need. To learn more about Anika Legal and the amazing work they do in the not for profit legal space, head to https://anikalegal.com

Israel’s Dynamic InsurTech Map
Insurance is a means of protection from financial loss. It is a form of risk management, primarily used to hedge against the risk of a contingent or uncertain loss. Technology is the sum of many techniques, skills, methods, and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of objectives, such as scientific investigation. The idea of the Dynamic InsurTech Map came about when The Digital Insurer (TDI) realised there was a lack of easily accessible information about InsurTechs – and a map without links is not a very useful map in a digital world! https://www.the-digital-insurer.com/dynamic-insurtech-maps/israel/

Facilitating Solar Panel Recycling
A typical recycling process for solar panels starts with shredding the panels into 4 - 5mm pieces to remove lamination. But researchers from the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) are looking at an innovative adhesive, or encapsulate, that can enable the quick disassembly of the panel at the end-of-life. https://www.pv-magazine.com/2021/12/09/recyclable-back-contact-solar-panel-from-the-netherlands/

Pay-as-you-drive car cover from KOBA Insurance
For many drivers, traditional car insurance is sub-optimal, because it's based on assumptions, not data.KOBA is a different way to buy comprehensive insurance. You pay a small upfront fixed fee to cover your car while it's parked.  Then you only pay a few cents per kilometre as you drive.  Usage is calculated in real-time so you pay-as-you-go on a monthly basis.  The less you drive, the more you save compared with a traditional policy.Signing up is quick and easy online.  Then you plug in your KOBA Rider device to your car's on-board computer and download the app. https://www.kobainsurance.com.au/how-it-works

Easy waking up device
It is difficult sometimes to wake up in the morning and the only thing which helps to fight with drowsiness is coffee (mainly coffeine). To solve this problem I want to introduce an idea of constructing a device (which is stuck to to an arm, leg or chest during sleeping time) that would inject the same caffeine in a calculated amount intravenously or intramuscularly at a certain time (say, half an hour before the desired awakening time) so that the awakening process would be much easier and faster.

Say Goodbye To Your Passwords
Ever forgotten one of your countless passwords when trying to log in to one of your accounts? Or having to refrain from the temptation to use the same password for absolutely everything to make life easier for yourself, or putting it on a post-it that inevitably disappears when you need it? The inconvenience of having to sign in to every single platform, website and account with a password is finally being addressed by the tech startup EZiD. As part of the Antler program, EziD is reinventing signup and login authentication with new passwordless technology. Offering passwordless authentication solutions for businesses.https://www.ezid.io/
