Anika Legal's 'Giving Day' - Giving Back to Vulnerable Victorians
Anika Legal is a free online legal service that helps vulnerable Victorians access free legal support when they need it most. Right now, the after effects of continuous lockdowns and widespread job losses has created a huge problem of homelessness and rental unaffordability in Victoria.  In response, Anika is hosting a 'Giving Day’ on the 25th November, where every dollar donated over the 24 hour period will be 'matched' by their generous donor-partners.  Partnering with  ‘Charidy’, Anika hope to raise an additional $150k to help them address more areas of legal need. Want a protein that looks like cuts of steak or chicken but is actually made from the root portion of mushrooms?  When developed at scale, Meati, a Boulder start-up  that recently won $50 million in funding says its plants will produce the equivalent of 4,500 cows every 24 hours and use less than one percent of the water and land required for traditional animal meat production, according to a news release from the company. Meati  dubbed the “Urban Ranch,” will have the capacity to produce millions of pounds of Meati that will feed populations potentially across the globe.
