The Journal of Emergency Medicine Australasia has published a simple technique to save shark attack victims at the scene by stemming blood loss. The technique relies on a second person using their fist and bodyweight to stem flow in the victim’s groin, buying them time while help arrives. Lead author and surfer, Dr Nicholas Taylor, developed the idea after visiting Western Australia during a time of increased shark attacks. The Central Coast wines of California have a new competitor. A  company named Ocean Fathoms, is filling iron cages the size of washing machines with wine bottles and dropping them down into the Pacific about 70 feet.By storing the wine in a place without light or oxygen, at a perfect temperature, and with the swaying of the ocean, the wine can improve  dramatically boasts this company.The sea life that attaches to the wine bottles makes each unique. Each bottle is adorned with barnacles, coral, seashells and ornate hard shelled tubes formed by annelida sea worms.
