We all need somewhere to live. But property means more than just having a roof over your head. It's an asset class that creates wealth. And it's eye-wateringly expensive in Sydney and Melbourne. It's estimated that a young couple will need 10 years just to save a deposit. If you are renting in retirement, your outcomes are substantially worse than your peers who own their home.MortgageMates is a platform that matches property co-owners, so you can get on the property ladder now, with your "mortgage mate."It can actually be less risky that buying with friends or family. www.mortgagemates.com.au

Queensland is following the footsteps of South Australia in
becoming a greener state. Under new legislation, single use plastics such as straws
and cutlery, as well as polystyrene foam food containers and cups will be
banned from the 1st of September 2021. The legislation has been
endorsed by the Australian Marine Conservation Society, and will be critical in
protecting the iconic Australian wildlife. This is an excellent push for the remaining
Australian states to also take the positive action to ban plastics
which are designed to be used once, and which lastingly destroy the
environment.
The Moka Pot - remains a cool, inexpensive, highly functional example of mid-century
modern design. In the same way that the single-cup pour-over cone was
rediscovered and prized, sparking a whole new round of sales, maybe the
moka pot is due for some revitalization and new trendiness. It seems
impossible, or at least undesirable, for such a cool gadget to die https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/make-coffee-moka-pot?
