You can promote wellbeing by walking and biking from station to station. As there is hardly any space near railway statons to hire (electric) bikes we thought of this idea for mobility hubs which can be closed at night and during the day and use solar panels. One of the hubs could have a toilet and luggage storage.
Our community is increasingly
debating the merits of celebrating “Australia Day” on January 26th.
There is a growing recognition that the particular date represents a
significant negative for Indigenous Australians.
Perhaps we should consider
replacing “Australia Day” with the celebration of two important issues:
Heritage Day (January
26), where we recognise and celebrate the wonderful range of cultures that now
make up our Nations Peoples, including the many Peoples and cultures of our First
Nations.
Federation Day (May 9th - Opening of
first Commonwealth Parliament) where we recognise the importance and privilege
of living in a participative democracy.
The next big thing in probing the brain is assembloids—free-floating brain circuits—that now combine brain tissue with an external output. To be clear, few would argue that today’s mini-brains are capable of any sort of consciousness or awareness. But as mini-brains get increasingly more sophisticated, at what point can we consider them a sort of AI, capable of computation or even something that mimics thought? We don’t yet have an answer—but the debates are on.https://singularityhub.com/2021/01/12/meet-assembloids-mini-human-brains-with-muscles-attached
