Researchers at Sandia National Laboratories have designed a organic compounds detector to diagnose diseases and infections from a patient?s breath at the point-of-care. This system is sensitive enough to detect trace levels of analytes (parts per billion to parts per trillion range), making it possible to detect specific VOCs released by a pathogen. https://app.in-part.com/login?returnTo=/articles/9Lx0Rq1Ygv26

Travellers in Sydney's Inner West can now book a dedicated seat on BRIDJ, an On Demand public transport bus, with micro buses in the region. BRIDJ doesn't always take the same route like a normal bus service so they'll ask you to meet where it's safe to board. They give you walking directions to your pick up location via an app which also takes payments. The BRIDJ technology was born in 2014 in Boston, Massachusetts. It was acquired by Transit Systems, an Australian-based company with experience in running successful bus operations around the world. www.bridj.com
This startup based in Western Sydney took four weeks of using in vitro cultivation of animal cells, instead of slaughtering, to create the first ever cell-cultured kangaroo meat grown from stem cells taken from a kangaroo. They take a small sample from the animal, isolate the correct cells, encourage them to grow and differentiate in exactly the same way they would naturally, and bring them together to create rich food products. The startup wants to turn exotic clean meat into routine but adventurous meals, and has just won a grant from the NSW Government to turn it into a Minimum Viable Product https://www.vowfood.com/
