Modest fashion a defining trend
This month, the fashion elite gathered in Dubai for the first-ever Pret-A-Cover, a glamorous event during which designers from around the world showed off collections specifically targeted at Muslim women. It drew attention to emerging designers from around the world who are putting their own spin on modest dressing. It?s in the interest of fashion brands to make clothes that Muslim women want to buy, particularly given estimates that Muslims will make up more than a quarter of the world?s population by 2030. https://www.fastcompany.com/40559445/these-startups-nailed-muslim-fashion-burberry-and-dkny-did-not?

Electric scooters that could revolutionise urban transport
Depending on who you ask, the electric, internet-connected scooters appearing all over California are either the future of transportation or a public nuisance. They?re managed through smartphone apps. With Bird, for example, you open the app to see a map of nearby available scooters, from which you can select one, scan a QR code on the scooter, tap ?unlock? in the app, and start your ride. Once you?ve scooted to your destination?Bird says most rides are less than 2 miles?you lock the scooter up again. https://qz.com/1257997/electric-scooters-are-flooding-california-and-theyll-be-on-your-sidewalks-soon/
